I`ve been playing for over 20 years and I have a few strats and a few pauls. One being a 72 custom. If my hamer was stolen I would buy another one. For that les paul sound with a little more clarity this is a good guitar for you. Ive heard people say "its what les pauls should sound like", "best les paul for the money", but the fact is its different then a paul. It does its own thing...the hamer thing.
I've been playing guitar for over 30 years now, owned several Gibsons, Fenders, Jacksons. This Hamer is for sure one of the best, if not 'the' best electric I ever had. I call it the 'vintage killer' because it is a new guitar now and it will be for sure a sought-after classic in the future. No need to pay mega-bucks for Gibson Custom Shop reissues.
I own a Gibson. I own a PRS. I ordered this guitar online based soley on its price, my tastes, and the reputation of American-made Hamers. I have not been disappointed, its quality ranks up with Gibson and PRS. I seriously recommend this guitar anyone reading this. That means you fatboy!
Been playing for 20 years and have had the usual various strats, les pauls PRS McCarty, PRS Custom, and I must say that this guitar is up with the best of them. I would say that the Hamer is as good if not better than historic reissue's etc for much less outlay. They are better value than PRS. Why do guitarists constantly stick with the top 3 makers, you know the ones I mean (Gibson, Fender, PRS) when there is guitars out there like this. It shows that they are geared by name brands rather than just quality. If this guitar was lost or stolen, I would definately get another.
